Hidden in a passage off Hristo Belchev Street in the centre of Sofia, Club Asylum is the city’s most established dedicated gay club today. This LGBT-owned venue covers around 420 m², with a main dance floor plus a separate dark room and playroom. The crowd is a friendly mix of locals and visitors, and the club’s ethos is all about inclusivity, discretion and genuine connection. Asylum is the home of Gay Parties Sofia, so there’s something on almost every weekend. The monthly calendar includes the signature Gay Party, Couples Night and LesBi Party, along with underwear and fetish nights, drag shows and queer-goth events. DYKES nights are dedicated to the FLINTA* community. Parties usually run on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 until around 6 am, and Thursdays bring an earlier, more relaxed evening from 19:00. VAULT – The Next Level is Sofia’s go-to party for big, glittering nights out. It is the latest chapter of a long-running local club project and is based at The Steps on Bratya Miladinovi Street. VAULT treats nightlife as a show, with full-on lighting, visuals and production, drag queens, go-go dancers and pop anthems played non-stop until sunrise. The crowd is mixed and ready to party, made up of locals and visitors alike. Every VAULT night has its own theme, from sports-inspired parties with dancers in matching gear and themed cocktails to drag spectacles and themed costume nights. The calendar also includes the official Pride opening and closing parties and Eurovision watch parties, which are always among the most popular nights of the year. In summer, VAULT heads to the Black Sea coast for its Summer Beach Fest, a weekend of beach parties, DJs and drag by the sea. Doors usually open around 23:30, entry is strictly 18+, and tickets for the bigger nights sell out fast, so book in advance on bilet.bg.
